Background

Kusari is changing. A new democratic government has been installed, and Samura and it's emperor have been cast out. The Order command felt that this is a time of tremendous weakness for Kusari, giving them a wide opening for the Nomads to infiltrate their higher echelons, so even in their weakened state, they decided to act.

Talking to the Blood dragon command provided the answer. The dragons had several crucial pieces of information about the new figures in Kusari Politics, and one figure in particular, Kogi Ariachi, the prefect of Honshu.

Known to be a man of liberal thoughts, the Dragons and Order agreed that he'd be the best candidate. Luckily, the Prefect was returning from a trip to Honshu under heavy guard...

Event time: 19.00 GMT (7 PM GMT) Friday, 3rd February 2012.

Event Outline:

The escorts and the transport come from the New Tokyo system. The KNF escorts were ordered to take the VIP back to his mansion in Honshu. Blood Dragons gained information on the time when they will jump to the Honshu system from their agents but did not know the exact route. So as a result, the Dragons and Order will have to spread out forces to intercept the convoy.

The lawful forces are to move ONLY by tradelanes to Planet Honshu.

The dragons-order forces shall target the transport first, disabling it, then capturing the prefect's pod ( A VIP commodity on board the transport). Then they shall attempt to neutralize all eyes of the KNF.

The transport is a non-combatant, and may only attempt to move on impulse towards Planet Honshu.

Bots and bats trading is not allowed for this event. Transfer of the VIP commodity is also not allowed. Ejection of the VIP into space is allowed for transfer. Of course, element of luck is involved.


Event Objectives:

KNF

Primary Objective: Defense of the Prefect of Honshu, and conducting him safely to his home on the Planet.

Secondary Objective: Neutralization of all Dragon-Order assets.

Order-BD

Primary Objective: Destruction of the liner upon which the Prefect is located, capturing him, then getting him back to a safe point.

Secondary Objective: Destruction of all KNF escort.


Event Outcomes:

Order-BD group wins

If both the objectives are fulfilled: Order and Blood Dragons successfully manage to capture the Prefect, and manage to convince him to their aims. With all eyes being neutralized, There is no evidence of any Order involvement in the matter. Rolls on to next event.

If only the primary objective is fulfilled: Order and Blood Dragons successfully manage to capture the Prefect, and manage to convince him to their aims. Surviving members of the escort provide damning evidence to the KNF High Command, Order is declared Enemy of the State in Kusari.

KNF wins

If both their objectives are fulfilled: The KNF succesfully managed to get the Prefect to Honshu, as well as capturing a Dragon and Order pilot that significantly enhances their knowledge about both factions. Order is declared Enemy of the State in Kusari.

If only the primary objective is fulfilled: The KNF successfully managed to defend the Prefect and get him back to Honshu, but the assaulting force got away. The KNF High Command feels that more evidence is needed before acting against the Order.

Failure for both sides

The VIP has died in the fight.
Blood Dragons lost future oppurtunity to convince him, and Kusari suffered major economically-stratigic asset as the prefect was successfuly managing the Honshu district enlarging productivity and in-come for both state and citizens.
