My God.. Are you still blathering that crap on? We did not "RUN" as such, but chose a different sort of defense that may or may not have worked.
We destroyed a several capital ships and about five fighters/bombers that would've ran to Gamma if we didn't defend gamma using the old saying; "The best defense is a good offense".
