It's still your quote, nonetheless. It's only being used as an example, nothing personal against yourself. Indeed we are bound by certain realistic entities that prevent the utterly wild and unrealistic from happening. These are better known as the rules. Where in the rules does it say that a trader has to pay? Where in the rules does it say that pirates demanding 2 million credits quickly is wrong (so long as the grey area of 'suffiecient time' is adheard to)? What may be out of roleplay to some, is within role play to others. Telling other people that their doing it wrong is wrong in itself. Traders and pirates alike don't have to play to each other standards, only the standards posted in the rules section.
