Everyone gets steamrollered from time to time, thats life! I am not going to whine about it. I have been on a larger force just as often as I have been on a weaker one. Hell after the server restarted and the remaining Corsairs decided to move further into NY I attacked their mass of ships single handed in my Claw. It was fun forcing the fighters to retreat closer to their Caps as their entire fleet tried to kill me :P
An evenly matched encounter is more fun for both parties but sometimes it does not go that way. It's not like we did not have a large force assembled to defend, it's just that we did not have the Caps or the bombers to effectivily deal with the enemy Caps. The tatics proved wrong as well and my orders went largely ignored by the rag tag host we had assembled. I won't pretend I am a Fleet Admiral! The best part was the stand off at the begining and the skirmishing of the smaller ships. Once the Caps were fully commited the battle was lost to quickly.
The only complaint I have about the encounter is afterwards several Order/Corsair ships did not making themselves hostile to the local NPC's while chasing me down. I took some great screens of Corsairs sitting right behind the Missouri firing at me. Thats poor RP, if I attack an enemy and they happen to be neutral or green on my rep I make sure to fire at the local NPC's so my enemy NPC contacts fire up red.
There was a couple of violations after the server crash including re-engagement, swearing in system from 2 seperate players. Remember to stick to the rules folks and be a good sport win or lose.
