Liberty is intended to be the hub of Freelancer.
Do you think the original devs put it in the center of Sirius simply because it seemed like a good idea at the time?

The problem with Discovery is the other places really don't give enough of an incentive to leave.

I know I know, as I wrote previously, but one incentive for people to leave could be to provide less of an incentive to stay, no?

I'm not talking about amputating trade from Liberty, but just give people a little less incentive to stay, say move 2-3 of the most heavily used routes somewhere else? It is ridiculous that half the server (ok ok a minor exaggeration) at any given time is located in Liberty - the original devs might have liked that, but it complicates gameplay on a server with only ~200 players. Unless you give in and make your characters Liberty-based, in which case we might as well just go ahead and delete 9/10 of the systems in Disco.

Also isn't Disco supposed to provide an element of progress/change - that things aren't supposed to stay status quo forever, i.e. allowing for for instance a financial crisis, without totally throwing every bit of Liberty lore out the window? Just removing a couple of sell/buy points of goods, and that's that, the crisis claimed its victims, now it's back to business as usual?
