idea for battleships...

:)well it would be nice if battleships would get desintigrated bit by bit, turret by turret, slowly in to submission, imagine the horror of flying a battleship and finding out you are missiong all your portside turrets. You would have to run for your money, over vast space to friendly teritory for repairs and you would be rendered useless by a few bombers, that wouldn't actually destroy the ship, but rather just make it useless,... as it is now, bombers just strafe in for the hull and repeat "three" times...

What i am trying to say, like Jinx suggested, make the time to take down a capital ship longer... as the current balance works out, fighters far outlive capital ships...:)
