idea for battleships...

How about we take the Cruise away from battleships and Cruisers and swap with thrusters. let them slowly move into battle. and use trade lanes for their high speed endeavors. Then people caln justify a Cheetah or cap ship thruster. That way BS pilots will make sure they do not get caught without fighter Support.

What I am suggesting that if a Battle ship enters an arena, there are no stale mates. Either the Battleship kills all or it Dies when it is over whelmed.

Their masses could play a role in differentiating between Cruiser and BS. as Cruisers with less Torque will be more maneuverable in space. and will thrust better. (Make their top thrust speeds 201 so its not a slam on me contest, fighters will have to get close to fire. And a thrusting battleship or cruiser can move faster than a non cruising fighter).

And it will also make a Battleship what it is truly support to be. A "Check Mate" weapon.
