I never played any elder scroll games. I played ultima 9 (Its from around 1999, methinks), which was kinda the first game of that sort to have a full 3d world. And some precuels to that.

I like a game that stays interesting for a long time. Do I understand correctly that after you finieshed the main quest, there are like an infinity of more quests, some of them maybe harder than the main one?

Can you like... buy a house or castle and live there? Are there companions or mercs that you can hire? Can you ride a horse? Since you mentioned the nekkid part. Can you... like... you know... score too?

You can finish the main quest? Wow - I've been SO sidetracked lately, doing the effectively unlimited sidequests, that I forgot about the main quest. Now where is that pesky party invitation... :)

As for living spaces - I tend to go with three homes purchased. There's no need for many more than that when you have the Dawnstar Sanctuary (home for wayward assassins), the Arch-Mage's quarters (home for wayward magic users), and if you're playing on the PC, add the mod Dovakhin's Hideout. Talk about your inter-dimensional wormholes and/or magic doorways...

Companions - amusingly enough one group is CALLED the Companions. I just hope you're not allergic to silver and like the smell of wet fur. :) The best I've done so far is having two followers PLUS my horse plus Barbas - and all three of us ended up casting Daedric summoning. Takes care of the question 'you and what army' quite well. That's on an UN-modded version.

And yes, you can change the loadouts of the people that are your followers. (You have different kinds - the true followers because they're your housecarls and you're their thane; the ones that follow you because you're head of their guild or organization, and the ones you just hire. It's sort of nifty when you have your housecarl equipped with daedric armor just like you have - lets them live a LOT longer...)

As for actual video / gameplay showing sex - I've seen more than one mod for Oblivion that does that, but I haven't seen one for Skyrim yet. Doesn't mean it's not out there, just haven't found it. However, I'm sure at some point it'll get made. In the basic game with no mods, you can get married - and you gain the benefit of 'lovers comfort' when you sleep in bed with your spouse. Of whatever gender or race they happen to be.

My female Nord, Juliette Silver-Blood (who was kicked out of Markarth when she was young, that's why she was in the prisoner wagon - she was coming home to claim her heritage), is married to Ysolda, the female merchant who wanted a Mammoth Tusk. Right now we live in Proudspire Manor in Solitude, along with our housecarl Jordis the Sword-Maiden, and we're occasionally visited by Lydia, my housecarl from Whiterun.
