In an attempt to.. Remove the doors on this "closed" faction. Ive changed.. how recruitment is done. I have help usually from Nosferath in the morph trial recruit process. and HIS BRAND of recruitment is top notch and awesome.

He makes missons and quests and all sorts of cool stuff.. (check our site if you dont beleave me). Id love if he could do it all the time. but he cant.. hes going to school and that takes alot of time. I CAN DO a similar process be it ... slower and paces for a ripe old man of 30 of which headnom huggie can provide.

So OPEN/Season means the khara are fully on deck assisting with recruitment meaning you becoming a fully fledge member could take as little as a month or less if you learn well.

Open/off season.. is when this fuddy duddy can walk you folks personally through the process. I dont know personally how long it will take but.. I cant give you everything you want right away.. as much as i might want to.. because well honoring the hard work of those before you.. dictates you know what your doing..

Why the change?

Well. the active morph or trial ID system I think is fatally flawed. Infact. While the issue has come up to make nomads somewhat open to bolster activity.. I think where the incorrect lamb to sacrifice for this because we are loosing factions regardless.

Ask faction leaders and long running factions about thier activity not the numbers the quaility.. for one reason or another activity is suffering. I have nothing to blame myself. And i hate to read threads or opinions that blame ONE thing for all of it. Because if you look at the problem of server activity as a whole.. there are too many different reasons it tastes bland.

IE theres systemic causes.

One I like to think the mod is large.. perhaps too large (But i love the large map i don't want it to change)

two Rules.. I personally think the current list of rules are outdated .. why? because i used to write rules like that in my server (another game). They read like reactionary provisions put in place to stop a flood of complaints. Reactionary rules that no longer matter cause of flhook features and technical advancement of the mod are taken off the list but i think the whole thing needs redoing past rule zero which is already perfect as is.

three? Boredom.. no ones wants to just go in and shoot. people write amazing stories and get little to no feedback unless their is exceptional/mind blowingly well depicted sex or violence in them (cause the regular sex and violence has failed) the aphathy has corrupted even the most general expectation to role play / get along so it naturally falls to going somewhere to wit you will get you shot.

four? Skype I hate it its the devil.. it lags..it needs to go to hell.

five? Skype again. cause i really hate it. We hang out in skype not in game. Freelancer integrates into STEAM you can chat and even have voice chat VIA steam cause the console is a shift tab away from using the web and community content. Its a much cooler idea.. unless.... someone can meld skype and freelancer... but i wont even go there.

There isnt alot i can do but voice this stuff and have folks agree or disagree. Though what i can endorse is another thing all together.

Everyone on this damn server is a terrorist. even the neutral id. they terrorize us with their neutrality.. SCREW EM. i think separating and sanctioning every id to attack party A and not party B was dumber then heck, it doesn't curb the chaos! it doesn't curb anything! prove me wrong! ive seen a nun stab a bag lady in broad daylight! the world and the universe et all can have weird consequences and occurrence, to rule this out is insanity.

(to summarize it isnt any worse then a freelancer id sit down take deep breaths)

its the smallest and lightest fighter we got but MORE IMPORTANTLY morphs arent fully connected to the hive I value and wish to see our Role play above all else held to cannon. (not matt but "as chizzeled in officialism") Opening labriads assasins and bombers who are warforms/ships melded to the hive breaks that cannon.

and learning the rp isnt hard it MIGHT TAKE TIME and i might be surprised by my future students tot he point where the morph change might not be needed.. but I think these changes are needed and should happen SOON.

So I am changing what I can about recruitment..

Then why bother calling the place an rp server if factions aren't allowed to gauge or make their lore as complex or involved as they want? Nomads are Aliens.. it requires a MINIMUM effort of method/make believe.

Stuff you shoulda learned in pre school make believing.

If you dont want to do that then dont spite us like the "priests of nomads". It isnt a conspiracy or anything to slight you because you dont want to take the time to do what 50+ have done in the past.

Whats ultimately shameful is that its only been 50+ members over the years.. I aim the change that but I will not sacrifice the minimum of what makes nomad rp alien. I cant beleave it was the rp that made joining difficult because frankly you cant get more entitled, stuck up, and unwilling to change then me folks. I got in SOMEHOW. previous management? sure you can blame that. But whats the point? its a blank slate now.


So give us a shot. or.. if you like the indie morph shout to high heavens pm your admins rave and rant about how wonderful it is.
