Lost Star Vigilantes: Final Contract & Action Reports

[font=ocr a]Oy... This is Sol Fenrir of the Lost Star Vigilantes. Time for another report, and hell... this time we were busy...

These are random vessels we found in Taus while we are flying our daily patrols over a few days since our last report. Seven of them were destroyed and five of them were forced to take refuge in that rock called Cali.

Your pilot Brigid O'Shaunessy and our Vigilante Clarence Rowe was doing their patrols together in Tau 23, earlier. I must say, those two make a good team, and Brigid has already become a good friend of our Vigilantes.

From what I hear, they stumbled upon this big coward Outcast Tridente, Gattopardo, who flies straight for hours reaching nearly the antimatter barrier of the system, doing very slow turns to keep its butt from being burned by its chasers or the antimatter. Despite that, Brigid and Rowe stick on the tridente's tail and once Vigilante Josh Moreno also showed up, the thing was forced to dock in Cali after an hour of relentless chase.

Afterwards, Vigilante Ai Nakamura joined them, and they extended their patrols to Tau 37 where they found an Outcast Storta class Destroyer called MNS-Ravnos. With four bombers shooting it, Ravnos had no chance and soon was destroyed.

This little outcast attack to Java was met with a superiour force quickly. At first there were two XTF members fighting a pilot of yours and Tavish, while Rowe was keeping watch for Outcast reinforcements. And indeed a Tridente appeared and started shooting our side, so Rowe and the other IMG interfared. All of the targets were promptly destroyed soon after.

We were escorting a convoy of the IMG through Taus and Kyushu, and while on our way back, Tavish was stopped by our friend La Sensual and a Farmers Alliance gunboat. Our Vigilantes rushed in and destroyed the FA gunboat quickly, however La Sensual was reinforced by a friend of his, Takeshi's Castle soon.

These two were being hunted by the IMG for a long while as probably you are also aware, so we decided to use this chance. Sensual and Takeshi fell to our trap, we kept them entertained until the Java forces rushed in and destroyed them quickly. Afterwards another Farmers Alliance pilot decided to attack me, so I had to shoot him down.

A Liberty Rogue smuggler flying a pirate freighter was sighted and stopped in Tau 23 near the 37 jump hole. It was carrying 400 slaves, and we asked the slaver to drop them. He didn't give a reply for a long while and your pilot Mike Klein shot it down. The IMG forces around Java quickly carried away the slaves, and they were taken care of in Java.

Later on, Tavish, Cassandra and Lesi stumbled upon a couple of cardamine smugglers, carrying in total 3974 units of cardamine. They were clever enough to drop the contraband, which was destroyed on the spot.

An extensive battle was fought in Tau 37 in recent days, main forces being Lost Star Vigilantes, IMG, some Gallics and of course the Outcasts. When we recieved reports that the Outcasts were amassing in Tau 37, LSV decided to take the battle to them, taking advantage of the GRN battleships that were in the area. It was somewhat a useful strategy as we started taking them down, though then the outcasts were reinforced their ships even more. We called in the IMG forces, which rushed in quick to help us. Both sides were taking heavy losses through the battle, retreating to their bases for repairs. LSV and IMG eventually took control of the situation and the Outcasts were pushed back and we returned to Java.

A few minutes later however, Outcasts started to amass in Tau 37 once again, preparing another strike force this time mainly consisting of XTF fighters. I decided to take the vanguard and gave them a visit, saw an GRN Valor there ready to assist our forces once again. The LSV and IMG forces followed me soon and the engagement started. However heavy ION storms ended the battle before it could be concluded decisively.
