' Wrote:Ok, let's try this with different wording. Imagine you're in a car. This car can handle 100 pounds of weight before it's so heavy that it starts scraping along the ground. If you strap 90 pounds of weaponry to the hood of your car, that means it's carrying 90 pounds of weight. It doesn't matter that it's on your hood instead of in your back seat and/or trunk. You are carrying the weight of those weapons. Yes, you still have space in your trunk, but whatever you're carrying had better weigh 10 pounds or less. If you go over that, you're carrying over 100 pounds and the scraping starts. Doesn't matter that only a little bit of it is in your trunk, your car (ship) is carrying it.
That's how I see it anyway, and I know it's a space game and all but what they did seems logical. Bit of a pain, sure, but completely logical. Changes intended to "balance" are often like that, but ultimately they're generally a good thing.
Makes some sense, but does not affect fighters, so the way the things are is a complete non-sense...
Think, cargo ships have weapons slots and this affect the cargo hold, in the other hand, fighters have the weapon slots but don´t affect the cargo hold...
There is no logic here at all...
