Engineering & Maintenance Department warns all LPI officers that a fault in the standard issue scanning equipment has been discovered recently. The proprietary cargo hold shielding used by Slavers Union ships may cause interference in scanner waves therefore making your cargo scans produce inaccurate data. We advise you to disregard any such data collected from Slavers Union ship scans and instead ask the pilots if they are carrying any illegal commodities. In case of negative answer, please do not bother the Slavers Union ships with any other unnecessary cargo inspections.</strike>
