The commander stood on the bridge looking into space the purple figures moving about the ship very much like the dolphins to naval ships on earth. His crew was antsy, he could feel their anxiety everyone but the Commissar: Karl Zelfuin He seemed excited, pacing and watching the crew. The commander walked to his chair and sat down and called the Gunnery Chief. 'You are to hold all fire, keep the weapons ready but I want no one with hands on the firing controls.'

'Ensign get me a report on how long until our engines are ready for jump.' One of the crew members looked up from his computer.
'Sir we are reading that they are recharging slowly, I think something about this area is slowing it.'

'Sir the Jump hole is re aligning we have to make it through before it finishes otherwise we will be trapped here.'

For a few moments the captain remained still and observed the creatures outside the window, some flashed blue or purple swimming through space. The silence was broken as the deck officer called in his report.
'Sir the last of the snubs is aboard and we have locked the hangar.'

the commander nodded as the ensign reported in again
'Sir the engines have reached full charge, I am thinking it was an instrument failure we can jump through by your order.'
The commander stood up taking another look at the strange space and its creatures. 'Take us through.'

'We made contact with those creatures today, it was interesting, I felt such elation just seeing them. It was more grand than any piece of art I have ever witnessed the fluidity of their movements. What is more, is I felt something in my mind, something greater than what small impulses we feel. The level of emotion I felt was like touching the face of a sun with its strength. It was intoxicating.' An alarm clock starts to sound in the background 'Oh right the Captain is having me secure the recent delivery. End log.'
