They're welcome to assimilate the essentials, although they'll probably copy most of it, since it's a reboot. Thus not original.
The NPC lore is a bit poor regarding information.
The =CR= Player Faction Lore is not updated, however I searched in CR sub-forum.
Quote:Gallic Invasion
Two years was the time that colonials had to save themselves from the path of a huge military power set to destroy or enslave the houses of Sirius. In 818 A.S. a new threat appeared and soon, it became clear that fighting it head on would mean total annihilation. President Diocletian ordered the evacuation of Tau-44. The destination was planet Pecos in the Coronado system. Martial law was declared during the evacuation and the population suffered greatly. Again, the colonials were forced from their homes.
Over the next two years, the fleet remained in Tau-44 and assisted the civilians, protecting the convoys from raiders and Outcasts. In 820 A.S. Gallic Royal Forces started their advance into Sirius. Orkney and Tau-23 fell fast. The military leaders decided to give the gauls a warm welcome and refitted the Warhammer with heavy weaponry and a skeleton crew. In the battle that followed, the old carrier managed to take down one of the invading Valors that ventured ahead, without its fighter escort. However, the colonial ship was critically damaged and blew up before the second wave of attackers got to it.
During the same battle, the rear guard of the last convoy, the Nemesis carrier was surprised by a GRN bombers wing. The battle that followed was hard but the colonials emerged victorious. However, the ship's propulsion systems were damaged and the engines were losing power. They managed to get to Tau-39 ,through a newly discovered jump hole, before the engines gave their last impulse. The carrier is now sitting in Tau-39, its position being known only by the high command of the colonial military. It received the codename Hades.
A new "New beginning"
The Coronado system is known for its illegal activities conducted around the Barrier Gate Station. From now on, this system will be known as the home of the Colonials. The infrastructure started to be created from 818 A.S. IMG and Colonials worked together and Pecos became a habitable planet. In addition, Sabah Shipyard was constructed near Planet Yuma and the planet is being explored.
The engineers created new weapons and ships for both the military and the civilian and life is back on track for most of the colonials.
Meanwhile, the fleet is organizing hit and run attacks against gallic supply lines and total blockades against the slavers and smugglers that use Coronado as their main highway.
This was the last update, where nothing has been writen about being at war with anyone except the GRN and, as always, Outcasts.
Colonial ID says:
Can destroy ships if they are affiliated with a house at war with the Colonial Republic.
Lore wise, they are only at war with Gallia and Outcasts, so why would they be shooting Bretonia or Liberty? We surely don't want people grabbing a CR ID and going house by house shooting the law enforcers just because they felt offended and banned from their houses, LN forbids KNF for entering their space, KNF forbids LN, BAF and RM entering their space, BAF forbids RM and KNF, RM forbids KNF and BAF entering their space, yet you don't see them declaring war to eachother just for that, that would be childlish and, more important, against their lore.
CR should focus on shooting GRN and outcasts within their ZOI, otherwise it would be a faction too easyly abusable.
Do we remember BAF and RM fight? Do we remember how that turned out?
