The Fall of Bonn

While the platoon lead by Voss moved out of the hanger decks and into the station proper, the third platoon of second company was assigned the task of guard duty. While not expecting to encounter heavy resistance, the first rule in the book was to always cover your entry point. The men got to work, spreading throughout the hanger.

Fourth squad, a group of five men, was assigned duty on one of the passages running below the hanger. Pausing before the dark space, Unterscharleiter Schroeder peered down the passage. Placing a finger to his temple, he activated the night vision on his heads up display.

The passage was deserted. Very unusual of Bonn Station, but he imagined it might have something to do with the four steel shards crashing through the airlock earlier. Glancing back at his men, he motioned with a hand signal to continue down the passage once more. They started off, down into the dark corridor, planning to clear the passage, after which they would report back to platoon command.
