I was thinking to make a mining competition and an ore hauling event in which miners must work with a trader partner. You can choose a friend for your partner or one from the pilots who want to join the competition and the event as independents traders and miners.

Competition: The Gold Ore mining.

Mining field: Dublin system.
Field coordinates: 4 / G,5
Mining ships: Any mining ship.
Transport ships: Any 5.000 cargo capacity transport.

All teams will gather around the judge of the competition in the mining field and at maximum distance of 4.5-k. All must start mining when the judge will announce the start of the competition.
The winners will be the first team with a cargo of 4.700 units of gold ore in their transport'€™s hold. The competition prize will be the amount of credits of all the gold ore the transports will haul. The more teams will apply for the competition, the bigger the prize will be!

Detailed example with lets say 5 teams in the competition and New Berlin as the selling destination.
Team 1: Trader's transport can hold 4960 ore. The price they will have to pay before the start of the competition is 44.163.840 credits. 22.081.920 each of them.
Team 2: Trader's transport can hold 4900 ore. The price they will have to pay before the start of the competition is 43.629.600 credits. 21.814.800 each of them.
Team 3: Trader's transport can hold 4850 ore. The price they will have to pay before the start of the competition is 43.184.400 credits. 21.592.200 each of them.
Team 4: Trader's transport can hold 4800 ore. The price they will have to pay before the start of the competition is 42.739.200 credits. 21.369.600 each of them.
Team 5: Trader's transport can hold 4710 ore. The price they will have to pay before the start of the competition is 41.937.840 credits. 20.968.920 each of them.

The winners will take the amount of 215.654.880 credits. 107.827.440 each of them.
All the teams will take their money back of course when they sell their ore. The escorts will be paid by me.

Event: The Gold Ore hauling.

After the end of the mining competition all the miners will help with the mining until all the transports are full. Then, all the traders will make a convoy to sell the ore. The selling destination will be the planet New Berlin in New Berlin system or the planet Pittsburgh in New York system. It depends of the traders'€™ IDs and IFF.

You can apply for the following competition / event spots:

1. Team of a trader and a miner.
Required information:
Miner: a) Name b) Type of mining ship c) ID d) IFF e) Amount of mining turrets.
Trader: a) Name b) Type of (5.000 cargo capacity) transport ship c) ID d) IFF e) Amount of free cargo space f) Amount of mining turrets (if any).

2. Independent Miner.
Required information:
a) Name b) Type of mining ship c) ID d) IFF e) Amount of mining turrets.

3. Independent Trader.
Required information:
a) Name b) Type of (5.000 cargo capacity) transport ship c) ID d) IFF e) Amount of free cargo space f) Amount of mining turrets (if any).

4. Escort of the competition and event.
Required information:
a) Name b) Type of ship c) ID d) IFF.
The available spots will be 2 escorts per team and a maximum of 10 for now. If there are 3 teams I will need 6 escorts. The order will be: 1 Fighter, 1 Bomber, 1 Gunship or Gunboat.

Before you apply for the competition and the event you must read the following rules and obligations and accept them.

Miners:
1. You must have a mining ship. Any mining ship will do the work.
2. You must try your best and help your partner to win the competition.
3. To win the competition you and your partner must be the first with 4.700 units of gold ore in your transport and the first who announced that they have the needed ore.
4. After the end of the mining competition you must help the other miners to fill all the transports.

Traders:
1. You must have a transport class ship with at least 4.700 free cargo space.
2. You can have a mining turret if you want and help with the mining.
3. To win the competition you and your partner must be the first with 4.700 units of gold ore in your transport and the first who announced that they have the needed ore.
4. You must follow the convoy to the selling destination after the mining competition.

Escorts:
1. You can have one of the following ship types: a) Fighter b) Bomber c) Gunship d) Gunboat.
2. Your ID must be one of the following: a) Freelancer b) Bounty Hunter.
3. You must be near the competition area and guard the miners and traders. After the mining competition you must escort the convoy to the selling destination.
4. You will be paid when all the transports have reached the selling destination. The amount of payment will be: a) 20 million credits for the Fighters and Bombers.
b) 25 million credits for the Gunships and Gunboats.
5. If a trader is destroyed the worth of his cargo will be deducted from your payment.
Example: If there are 10 escorts with fighters and all traders reach the selling destination safe, then each escort will be paid for 20 million credits.
If a pirate kills a trader with a cargo of 44 million credits then each escort will be paid for 16.4 million credits. The calculation is this: 44.000.000(worth of cargo) / 10(escorts) = 4.400.000(amount each escort will lose). So, the worse you do your job, the less you will be paid.
6. If for any reason you leave the group, the mining area or the convoy, you will not get paid.

General.
1. All miners, traders and escorts must be in the same group. The competition judge will start the invites.
2. The competition teams must calculate how much their full transport with gold ore worth and give the credits to the judge. (I will announce the name in the future). This will happen to avoid traders leaving with the ore if they are not the winners and not paying the winning team. It will be much safer to follow the convoy and sell the ore to take their money back instead of doing it alone later.
Example: Team 1 has a transport with cargo capacity of 4960 units. The worth of the cargo will be 44.163.840 credits if the selling destination is the planet New Berlin. They will have to give 22.081.920 credits each of them to the judge or one of them the full amount.
3. All teams must work alone and not help or bother the other teams or they will be disqualified.
4. At the end of the competition and the event the judge will give all the money to the winners and pay the escorts.

So, what do you think?
Is this going to work?
Are the gold ore mining fields in Dublin the most popular mining fields with the most active miners for the competition?
Do you have anything to add or comment?
What time do you think will be the best to make the event?
Any feedback will be much appreciated!
