This is Dr.Devroix, while I had been just a guest on board , our unknown diversion into these beautiful regions of unknown space has not been unwelcome. The Science officers on board have already done toe weights and measures of this "package". My log today focuses on in depth analyses of these things as it has been my life's work in xeno archaeology.

There where five objects bound together and seemingly dangerous bio matter binding these objects together proved to be inert so our handling of them has been approved.

The first object looks like a either a tool or forked device that is made of a rigid clear crystalline substance. Its function is unknown other then.. well, its obvious beautiful craftsmanship.

The second is a vial structure, this has been actually previously revealed to me from what junkets of Sirius i could get third hand from the junker's rumor net. A liquid substance that as I've verified as Liquid Spirits or Cardamine in Sirius.

While I did not break the seal and directly test the substance, laser spectrum analysis is concurrent with whats known.

A small artifact with a odd brass/gold housing around a perfectly round "object" the color is blue/grey and seems to have a filling that moves within it. I am completely lost on this object as it has no basis or commonality to Gallic artifacts. Seems to be a tool and is handled by its housing as touching the orb itself causes it to darken, seemingly negative effect.

The next item was initially two. seemingly a "holder" or nest for an egg sack. The ovum are mostly silicon in nature and under instruction from the captain we've assembled eggs to this "incubator" as it initially shows. It is something we have yet to address in how mon capitan knew how to assemble this package.

The clutch assembly has been put in Isolation unit Alpha with the liquid cardamine vile and the fork as instructed again. At times it seems the vile adsorbs ambient light and in turn shines near the clutch.

As I've been able to examine one of the ovum the silicon "life" is vary much dependent on vibration and light emanations. Since the region we are in have extremely high radioactive patches of X-rays, I am going to further expose the clutch to outside conditions pending approval.

"X-ray and Ambient light exposure to the clutch seemingly caused more problems then we thought. For the first ten hours there was little to no activity, but literally at the eleventh hour the ovum/eggs changed color from a diffuse grey to a solid and shiny blue.

Handling them the first change i felt was the eggs where much heavier then before, to see this change from a rubbery and fluid filled object to a nearly rock solid and ..er .. "lead weight" change seems remarkable. This alien life has assured mon capitan and even myself through telepathy that these eggs were a gift of understanding...

I cannot but beleave them as the manner of communication is both ways. in-fact their pointing out of my own reservations and..even some secret fears as if they where in plain sight gives me the impression these beings may not have a capacity to lie.

Though a superior intellect.... im sure would handle us as it saw fit... my reservations are not being unheeded. So.. dealing with this experiment so far has not gone out of control. it will go forward."
