The receptionist gave a soft, caring smile and began to explain.
"Dr. Holliday has been missing for the last couple of months." As she did, a young, red headed woman with a stethoscope around her neck and dressed in a nice shirt rounded the corner. From another corner, a tall, slender man also entered. His hair was still damp from a shower and he held a cup of coffee in one hand.
"Dr. Holliday," said the receptionist, "I didn't know you were here."
The red headed woman had a look of angry relief. "Doreen, I will explain later," Dr. Holliday explained.
He then turned to the man seeking treatment. After a brief discussion, he took his to a quiet room where they could talk while he looked him over.
Dr. Holliday himself looked a bit withdrawn. Still, he showed his usual care for his patient as he took scans and some blood work.
"This is new to me," he explained, looking at the results, "I will admit you immediately so that I can begin studying this."
He then asked him, "I need to know. Are you taking cardamine?"
