Your base was a level one base with a shield and no storage module. You hadn't even started the core upgrade.
I could trade the credits for that in like two hours.
I honestly think you're blowing the whole "We lost everything" thing way out of proportion.
Not to mention, you guys are planning on going up against a PvP/Piracy faction.
Unless you have some fairly good pilots in your ships, you'll just get blown up again and again until the OORp is way way too high.
Hell, the OORP hate is already too high, from teh looks of it.

we have good pilots, we have killed yesdteday battleships and a few pirates in the hearth of the corsair system;)

and the hate i not oorp i`m very friendly with one corsair;)
