nah. if you do this..you don't have any hand to make your ship to strafe to dodge enemy fire..which is not worth to do it..and it need to switch very very fast and is craszy...

Actually, that's exactly what I do, and when you get used to it it's as easy as simply pressing teh mouse button. Takes a teensy split second to hit 3 keys and the mouse.

If anybody does need help with that, grab me ingame.
