One account can hold 5 ships, but different ships can belong to the same character. Just an example, if the name of your character is Mr Fate, his first ship can be named Mr.Fate, then his transport can be named Fate's.Transport, and his gunboat can be named Big.Fate. These ships obviously belong to the same person while having different names.

You can transfer cash to a ship with the /givecash <character name> <cash amount> command.
