Corsairs don't need lots of allies. Gamma is always full of cruisers, battleships, and yes, of course, gunboats. Do they need allies? Not really. Everyone and their puppy is a Corsair.
Now, yes, the Saber is better than the Titan in my opinion, but frankly, the Tizona guns are awesome. Salamancas rule too.
If the Outcasts were so much better they would sh*tkick the Corsairs daily. And they don't, which says something for balance, right?
Saber is not "a bit better" but totally outclasses Titan, and inferno is as good as del Cids just different, while Krakens are much more awesome than Salamancas.
Maybe there are a lot of corsair just because outcasts get all the advantage? This makes pilots that think that's not 'just', join the corsairs. And maybe Corsairs don't get sh*kicked daily, just because they TRY A LOT harder than most outcasts do? Seems that most people still prefer to be on the side of the "oppressed", than the "oppressor"...
Maybe chivalry didn't die out in men's hearts, even in these modern times of disputable morality...Not everyone wanna join the faction that has the potential "to rape".
