Biography:Parents were both miners, as were granparents. Younger of five broters and sisters they all insisted I had an education so that I could be saved from the mining business; therefore they all added to the education fund.
One day I was old enough and went for university, at Cambridge. Spent the next few years denying my roots and pretending I wasnt a miner's son. Adopted maneirisms, posh accent and pose. I never returned home, until now.
After my graduation I got a job as junior researcher, married, and life was starting to smile at me.
Then the wife was sent ahead of me for our new home, aparently there were new oportunities in the Taus. Her ship was caught between a conflict , they said it was friendly fire. I had it rough, went trough days and nights like a ghost. Lost my job. Lost my house.
I returned home, parents, brothers and sisters welcomed me back, no questions asked, no recriminations.
But then I saw the squallor, the sacrifices , the harsh life...I understood, I had a purpose now, the opressor must be dealt with and removed.
