Or you could put it in plain English and say you're exaggerating because you had to eat your own point to say that tactics > Numbers in some scenarios where the guy who had numbers was actually competent and still didn't have his advantage. Sure you could argue his competence, but while he is better than you, wouldn't that reiterate to the fact that you obviously can't hack it regardless of your advantage?
