The future of the barge?

I say you should make the barge fullfil its true purpose, have it so that whenever you mine and "send your cargo" to a barge it automatically recieves twice as much cargo as the person mining normally would...
Then they can all just be parked in mining fields and used by people to mine....

Yes. This is what I most enjoy, working as a miner, generally with a team, to fill a barge with ore. Often times in systems where multiple ores can be mined, to give some variety. When it's full, it flies off to a nearby player base, usually one system jump away, to unload, and transports can haul whatever ore they like from that base to the destinations.

Although, doubling the mining rate is a bit unnecessary; that would yet again turn it into ridiculous powertrading. I just think the barge shouldn't be used for jumptrading; it's more fun, and makes more RP sense, to use it as a mining center.
