Two weeks had passed since that night.
Junko still couldn't believe it.

It was just as if it happened to someone else, not to her.
Since then, she had spent her time on duty, only returning to Stokes when she really couldn't keep her eyes open anymore.

She just wanted to avoid this place now.
Oddly, she was expecting to cross him in some corridor, when she knew his body was cremated since days.

She wouldn't smile anymore, nor would she expect much from others;
She had her share of deception.

The only thing she would keep from these days would be the custom to call hostiles 'playtoys', an habit that seemed to amuse and disconcert him at the same time.

Her anger was intense during the short memorial service.
To the point she actually left before its conclusion to lock herself up in her Chimaera on the docks.

Noticing they came to help her, she told the rampants to leave and to go die somewhere as she was running routine checks, in an attempt to focus her mind on something concrete.

Junko simply couldn't resolve to forgive him for having left her like this.
She didn't authorize him to die.

Men couldn't be trusted.

Lacking the frame of mind needed to use them, she would content herself with ignoring them.
And if they ever dared to come close enough, she would whip them with her irony until they would give up.

A way to ensure she would never have anything to lose anymore.
