It appears that Captain Joe Costello has left us to return to his home in the Brotherhood, against my urging, due to an understandable reluctance to fire upon his treacherous brethren. However, he did so on amicable terms, not wishing conflict with ourselves.

We shall, of course, honour his decision, since he seems to be a more level-headed leader than the lunatic Montoya.

Of great interest, was his leaving of the RACS-Havana in my care. A proportion of the crew were willing to stay aboard with myself and I was able to recruit a number of young, untrained but enthusiastic Corsairs on Planet Gran Canaria to serve with me, in order to make up for those that left with Costello.

I asked Joe to see that he is planetside if we attack his comrades, making sure that civilians have adequate shelter. He said he would attempt this and in turn I will have to say to all units, do NOT engage Elder Joe Costello of the Brotherhood.
