Since the Zombies are <strike>postponed indefinately since everyone is too scared</strike> being saved for Halloween, I've decided on a much simpler event. The premise is this:
Quote:A small Mining Group has discovered a windfall of <strike>Neon</strike> Helium in the Pennsylvania system, and has begun mining in the hopes their fortunes will grow. Having hired a number of Freelancers and Citizens to collect the Neon, a convoy has been planned to move the Neon to Malioboro Station in Kusari (which is in need of a new generation of bar lights).
However, local ne'er do-wells have noticed the peaceful and innocent mining operation, and have made a sinister plan; to steal the Neon and blow up the upstart pilots! With limited resources and a little luck, can the Miners outwit the Pirate Hordes?!
The Kicker is this: Both parties may only use basic ships.
Miners Will use a Freelancer ID and be Limited to:
Rhinos
Starfliers
Startrackers
Defenders
ONE Surveyor for mining purposes
The Surveyor may only have up to class-4 weapons, mining lasers, and a class-4 shield.
Pirates will be of the following factions and be allowed the following Ships:
Liberty Rogues
Bloodhounds
Mules
Xenos
Starfliers
Startrackers
Lane Hackers
Daggers
Hellfire Legion
Daggers
The Pirates may choose how to arrange themselves, ally their forces (temporarily) or not. Where to ambush or weather to attack the Mining site pre-emptively.
The Miners and their escorts must survive and deliver 10000 units total of Neon to Malioboro station in New Tokyo. Pirates may attack any miners between Pennsylvania and Shikoku.
I'd like some feedback on when this would happen and who would be available to participate so we can work out a timeline.
