Right then, I'll say this.

Geographicly, Canada is above the United States, and rather empty.

Same as these.
So, some Libertonian explorer (and the Liberty was prolly the sleeper that had Canadians, if any did) found these systems, and named them after places in Canada, which makes sense, in a way.
Now, whoever is colonizing them, it should be with Liberty's funding, since A: they are close to liberty, and B: liberty has funds where bretonia is a bit strapped for cash, what with the war.

Ergo, canadian systems, part of Liberty

Also, the US, Canada, and Mexico are working on an EU type economic union.
