Geographicly, Canada is above the United States, and rather empty.
Same as these.
So, some Libertonian explorer (and the Liberty was prolly the sleeper that had Canadians, if any did) found these systems, and named them after places in Canada, which makes sense, in a way.
Now, whoever is colonizing them, it should be with Liberty's funding, since A: they are close to liberty, and B: liberty has funds where bretonia is a bit strapped for cash, what with the war.
Ergo, canadian systems, part of Liberty
Also, the US, Canada, and Mexico are working on an EU type economic union.
1) They'd use American names first... like Washington. They've a lot of states to use before they have to use foreign names.
2) It is not too analogous to the EU example. Trust me;)And even if it was a good reason for this, then we should have all of the EU countries represented in either Rheinland or Bretonia, with the likes of Planet Brussels in the Belgium system of Bretonia. Nada.
Also, I will state historical precedent again in that Bretonia (theoretically) owns Dublin.
Canada was still a semi-autonomous part of the UK in the period between 1867 and 1931. Technically Canada didn't become fully independent until 1982, but that is a technicality. Dublin and the Republic Ireland was freed from British control in 1921. If Bretonia owns Dublin, they should own Ontario too.
