The 5 vanilla Liberty systems were all named after states (though, New York is mainly based around NYC landmarks). Given the existence of Alberta system, I think that saying that it's the Californian locale is stretching it a bit. Just my thoughts.

California, Colorado and the connected systems of Yukon, Alberta, uh... is Alaska connected (?), and Ontario/California:Dare all in or near of the Rocky Mountains give or take a few seconds at cruise speed. Maybe that's connections. Or maybe I wasted 10 seconds of your life getting you to read this. Woohoo!
