Ansel looked at Thomas with a neutral expression. The cascade of voices had muted to an acceptable low, but it'd probably accompany him the rest of his life now.

"I imagine keeping our identity might be important, considering what I'm experiencing right now. I'll learn everything you can teach me" He said firmly.

A skycar descended near their location. Ansel looked up, and wondered. When he'd arrived there, he'd been a different person. An anomaly, but still human. And now he was leaving, fundamentally altered, in service to a power he could respect. They both sat in the skycar and left. It would be a while before Xavier would resurface to begin work in Gallia.
