The stupidity of humans amazes me. We have recently begun 'recruiting' in the Tau systems and have encountered several Gallic vessels so far. First, we offer a reasonable demand: All crew that other than the pilot/captain are taken, in return the ship is allowed to continue its journey. Some have tried to bribe us, give us cargo, or even beg for their lives. But none have willingly given up their crew as tribute. How fanatical. They end up losing their lives, their cargo and their ship. Nobody wins in that scenario. Well, that's not entirely true. We get what's left of their charred corpses and cargo. But we need more bodies to fill our ranks before we can expand our operations, or even crew this vessel to its maximum capabilities.

It's equally amusing when they bring in escorts. They believe they can kill us before we collect our tribute. They are wrong.

Hopefully we will begin encountering non-civilian ships. We hope to re-contact the BAF with many Gallic Military kills under our belt. That will get their attention. Until then, we shall continue to replenish our numbers and supplies on these trade vessels, even if it is not very enjoyable.
