As for the ships proposed in the first post, why should the Rheinland miner have a lot more hull, more turrets, and the same cargo as the Liberty ship? where's the balance?

Simple. Mining Conditions.

Liberty mining area's are far safer (if you exclude pirates) in comparison to Rheinland's. SO taking such into effect of heavier armor also plays in key with the other transports at Rheinland's disposal.

While the ship for Liberty is to resemble similar aspects of its other commercial vessel counterparts, it is not to be underestimated. While the proposed Rheinland model is bigger (not yet being modelled by my team), does not mean it is better.
