Yeah well, perhaps the Admins could consider Unselie's inital proposal instead of your LSF guys wrecking the only (currently) viable alternative route through liberty between california and colorado. One that doesn't require going through New York. I think Ontario/Alberta/Yukon should be roleplayed and opened up by Liberty corporations (and Planetform etc), and we should do the same in other systems across disco. It would be good to see the RP developing, the systems slowly being opened up across several mod updates, rather than a "WHAM! We'll put a guard system here and let's bling it up instantly!"
I don't know. You did suggest sharing the system, and that's very generous of you, but it also wouldn't really be able to work with the slow RP opening up of the systems anyway. How about the admins add another system into the game leading off from Alaska as your guard system?
You'd be more likely have it out there anyway due to all the LSF experimentation on Nomads and the like. Ontario is in a pretty "open" and also stupid RP position as a "top secret" area for the Liberty Security Force who don't want anyone prying, considering it has 3 jumpholes into that system, all of which are widely known about and quite heavily used. Don't forget, the ONLY other area with any LSF presence whatsoever is Alaska, and look how "top secret" and heavily fortified/dangerous that is supposed to be. It makes no RP sense to have the LSF in Ontario, right out in the open through a quite reasonably trafficked area of space (and yes i know quite a few smugglers used go through Alaska, but its quietened down considerably since you started locking down the Alaska jg, which is one of the things you should always have been doing anyway).
So yeah, in recap, I think requesting a new guard system connected to Alaska for the LSF and buffing up Alaska's defences as well (maybe give it LSF patrols instead of just navy) would be much better RP. Then the LSF will go through Alaska even more to their fortified guard system, which will also retain the premise of being uber top secret and difficult to reach in terms of RP and even practical physical purposes. Plus maybe even some extra interesting RP for Alaska and i'm sure smugglers will start thinking even harder.
