sry but you dont seem to know your history very well. it wasnt at all that simple. stalin signed a non-aggression pact with hitler, while being very aware of the ideological threat fascism posed to communism - both thrive on the same group (the worker) and they cannot co-exist in their true, ideological form within the same society. then hitler started infringing on russian territory before finally launching an attack on russia. at that point stalin and russia was part of the allied powers, not because they necessairly saw Hitler as "the bigger threat", but because they were defending their country.
SCRA arent defending their country, they are supporting one of the monarchical houses that are in closest proximity to their home. It's a different scenario altogether.
its also very true that the biggest direct evil form of rule in marxist/communist ideology is in fact monarchies. 'historical materialism' and all that, the 'mode of production' under monarchy was/is direct slavery (and that is bad), according to Marx' materialist reading of Hegel's idealistic concept of history.
naturally the SCRA can have adopted a watered-down ideology and forgot all about the sociological underpinnings, and be "woodstock-commies"/"rebels without a cause" sure, but it would be kinda cool if they adapted an intellectual/ideological approach concerned with uniting workers across the houses.
p.s. why are so many of you being dicks in this thread by the way?
My point with that example was to point out that real-life communists would sometimes play the political game when it benefited them. Gallia is a potential threat to invade SCRA territory down the line anyways. Not a perfect example, but you misinterpreted my point.
Bretonia isn't a monarchy the same way Gallia is, by the way. It's a republic in reality.
They're still pursuing their eventual goals, but obviously with such a big goal you don't accomplish it by punching every hornet's nest you don't particularly like right off the bat. The SCRA is taking things one at a time, which is smart.
