He didn't. He first sided with Hitler, then Hitler backstabbed him. Then the guys who were already at war with Hitler (democracies) chose Stalin as the lesser of 2 evils and sided with him. Although I wouldn't try to justify any sort of "logic" chosing Hitler or Stalin as examples. Cause they were like... you know... crazy.
Uh, right. As I said before, my point was to point out that communist leaders historically didn't have a problem with working with (or at least not openly attacking, which is more what the SCRA/Bret NAP is) countries that they didn't agree with ideologically. Because they weren't complete idiots and saw that sometimes not shooting everyone who you don't agree with can be smart.
