To be honest a 5k transport is way faster then a barge. no matter what. it just is. with jumpdrives it mostly improves big groups of jumpers. wich are
1. hard to pirate (saw the old JZ) as they fly everywhere.
2. just easier to dock and fly trough space
3. not such big target as the barge
but as we are speaking here as the barge itself. there are allready enough idea's in my view to maybe change it. But honestly i think it is nerfed enough allready. if you think otherwise. try flying it. (and ask devs to implement command like /trollface to enable flying trollfaces) If its hit with a small fighter.. you can even try to ping pong with it. (table tennis) And what you are now suggesting is nerfe it more due to the ability to jump. well as its easier to jump with transports then with a barge. as transports you could transfer it much faster then 1 barge. (looking at the time wich is needed)
also the Barge is an RP tool. you suggest using it otherwise. think the admins must re-instate the fact as it was at first. (prior my time) To RP with it. and well maybe even restrict the barge so you cannot sell it to anyone else as its a SRP request you have to make. this way if you violate rules wich are allready there, admins might decide to take away your precious "barge" as in my view was intended.
