Im spending from now until release hoping that the Spatial remodel wont be as big as a house anymore.

I know im wrong, but Im permitted a few months of happy delusions.

If someone wants to dig it (OP?), there is a screenshot of the new Spatial in Aeternus' Dev Log thread. It is still large, as befits a Super-Heavy Fighter, with a broad wingspan, but it's not appearing to be quite as horrendously huge as the current Spatial. At the very least, the shape looks much more managable.

Sadly, regardless of how that was misread, the Rheinland Battlecruiser is not getting in the mod because the mod "already has too many ships".

Correction. "The mod has so many ship and station models that fixing what we've got took all the dev team's time this update, leaving no room for "wouldbenice" ships."

Seriously, I've spent probably well over a hundred hours in sorting out the hitboxes, models and texture files to fix some bugs that have been plaguing the mod since 4.84 - some stuff will just need to be deferred. Doing new ships rather then replacements is a lot of extra work. Which at this point, there just isn't time for.

Eh, I know checking ships is a lot of work, but don't blame me for misinterpreting what you said. It's a moot point, though. I would not demand quantity over quality, especially not at this stage.

It's a good quality model, and would fill the one empty slot in Rheinland's ship line.

They already have a heavy cruiser that pwns all, and the carrier fills the needs of a light battleship perfectly. There is no room for a battlecruiser in their lineup. If they need anything in the cap line, it would be a light dessie similar to the hatchet, good for policing and anti-piracy duties.

Also, what happened with that CTE gunboat? That was a nice model?

Hence my comment earlier about the balance team being at fault. If Rheinland theoretically received a Battelcruiser, then that would (or at least should) significantly influence the rebalancing of their other capital ships.

As for the CTE Gunboat; I don't think it was submitted properly / in time / at all.
