Granted, if the Corsairs managed to focus their efforts they may end up being successful.
But would that improve the mod?

The Corsairs role has traditinally been to pew anyone and everyone they come in contact with, aside from a few factions that either pay them tribute (Zoners) or help move their artifacts (OSC, Junkers, Unioners, Hogosha). As a Corsair player, you know what to expect: You may rob blind practically any transport you come across, and any lawfuls will consider you an enemy.
Would it REALLY benefit the server if suddenly the Corsairs throw in economic ties with Kusari (highly unlikely under the pro-GMG Kishiro government) or Rheinland (also unlikely since that would jeopardise relations with the GMG, Bretonia and Kusari). And no, Sairs will not be invading Rheinland in force in 4.87, but they WILL be an NPC presence in Munich, and have stronger ties to the Unioners.

Bottom line, if one side wins the Omega war, the fun that can be had fighting it is lost. So from that standpoint, I don't see it ending. Ever. Some bases may switch hands now and then. Some areas may be conquered and lost. But the war must go on. Because it's a space shooter after all. Peace is boring.

Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.
