Chapter 3

Murder!

A few day has pasted since I got accepted into the Liberty Rogues and it was great having to not do that test thing... I still dont know what a Greyhound is... Oh well!
The first ship that caught my eye was the Rogue Barghest Bomber. Damn fine ship if you asked me! With an extra bomber torpedo slot I imagine myself already shredding enemy ships to pieces! The lack of maneuverability? Who cares! With that much power who needs to turn faster!?

It all went quite smoothly until I showed them my pet.

Snowball was a baby polar bear cub. Maybe a bit older than a year or so. I found her when I crash landed on California Minor about half a year ago. I nearly missed hitting her too! She was wandering all alone in wild tundra, probably her mother died or abandoned her. I couldn't just leave her there to die could I?

I guess any unlawful man still down there somewhere has a soft spot and she happened to hit it dead on.

Now I had some training befor with animals. Back in the days of VR I was made to do a test of survival in the wilderness and I happened to choose a arctic climate out of a random draw form a hat. Those days were rough, trying to survive off the wilderness all alone... it really got you thinking. But it was necessary. As a pirate you cont always get back-up form your buddies. Since there was nothing to do I spent my time learning about animal behavior and slowly grew to like them.

I left snowball at Buffalo for the night once, told everyone not to worry, she wont do anything crazy. When I came back however she was GONE!
At first I thought it was all a joke but gradually I started to panic. I saw some Rogues snickering and whispering looking at me look for her, so I asked them what was so funny.

I guess I shouldn't have.

Turns out one of them killed her, the other sold her to the other Rogue and then the last one made her into an undergarment!! When I herd this complete anger overcame me and I couldn't control it. My two 44 Magnum Revolvers were drawn and things were gonna get ugly!

They had hit my soft spot and ripped it apart!
