Lambert took another drink of whiskey as she spoke. He had no idea where those places were, aside from "somewhere in Gallia". Still, hearing a bit about her life put him a bit more at ease. People in Gallia weren't so different, after all.
"Are you from Denver, or somewhere else in Liberty?"
He smiled at her, setting his glass down. "Well, I was born on Curacao, actually," he said, "but I guess I'm more of a Bretonian because that's where I lived growing up. Sheffield, mostly, which is in Manchester."
He sighed. The lie was so smooth now that he almost believed it himself.
"Do you see your brother often, or is he assigned to a different part of the Corse?"
