Are IMG guys really willing to search for a bunch of Ranseurs and Stortats "Somewhere in the Taus"?

Definitely not, and it would be easy as IMG (only T23, T37 are reasistic). As you said... try that in the Omicrons, or Omegas. No one will care to search systems.

It would come down to faction leaders PMing each other "Hey, where are you? Where do we meet?", which is no way better than looking at the list, as it is meta/oorp, too.

I agree with all the people that say that we cannot afford to make it even harder to actually meet and interact with each other.

And for all those who speak from the transport point of view that fears the pirate spying his route on the list: Look at it as a game. You have the same "weapons", use them. Use of player lists, departing player, joining player, etc are the only parts in Disco in which the trader has the same chances as the pirate.
