Although I don't know of any way to change the planet textures (which seems to be the main focus here) without triggering the anti-cheat, you can change the star backgrounds using Hunor's Starspheres. They look really great if your computer can handle the HD images while running the game, definitely changes the way I look at the Walker and Barrier nebulae.
