I wanted to perform a little piracy against houses at war with Bretonia as the Bowex ID states, but I am not sure what is up to date info and what is not.

As example, say someone has contraband, or considered contraband in bretonia, if that data is up to date, comes to jump gate. Instead of just blowing them up give them options to RP. They cannot enter Bretonia but you could give them optons. Pay X amount to live, or drop the contraband and destroy it themselves to teach a lesson, or simply turn around and go back where they came from saying if you see them again you will not be so friendly.

That last example is for the BPA, and to a lesser extent the BAF, would be doing, not Bowex. In fact, you cannot uphold contraband laws unless that is also from a house at war with Bretonia. This means Gallic corporations, which you'd be best stopping in the near Taus, or if you happen to run into them in the Omegas or something.
