He was playing by the rules. The Freelancer IFF is the "appropriate" IFF for indie pirate, as there is no generic unlawful IFF. Space is dangerous, trust no one.

I've had lots of playes complain at me afterwards I've stolen their stuff on my indie Pirate / Freelancer IFF ship; and it sucks having to explain it over and over again to players who feel "cheated" - and I can actually to some degree understand why those players do feel like it's foul play.

There are a lot of details and stuff you have to dive into old forum discussions to really get a clue of, but I reckon the best we can do is help each other and use the forum.

It would be great for server and newbie distribution if there was a green bit of information text for new players regarding restarts, like there is on "Discovery of Discovery".
