It doesn't matter what traders are saving up for,...they are saving.
And if traders are taxed/tolled/ pay or die too much...then they quit being traders.

On another idea....i think i will start handing out (paying the pay-off) according to the amount of thought and RP value of said pirate.
"Halt. Pay 2mil or die." ( and nothing more) will get, at best, 250K.
Shoot.Shoot.Shoot at me then Shoot shoot at me more, bringing down my shield and 90% of my hull---then asking "Pay 2mil or die" will either get 'your' paycheck amount deducted by the amount of damage 'you' done to my ship...............or a screaming geisha : "This guy is a terrorist. 30Mill to the group that avenges my death"
If i am killed...that 4 hours I am knocked out of the game....thus not making money.

Just keep in mind Pirate Math when asking for pay-offs: New Berlin to Kyusha is 5 systems...... 2Mill pay off per system per pirate is 10 Mill....I just lost all profit and might as well go play EverQuest.
