That may have been me, although i do not usually hang outside the planet. But I do recognize the "it gets cheaper if you cooperate" part of it. Never the less, are we all supposed to know that you just broke level 30? And if the taxed amount was a problem, then I guess I would have had to use the ooRP way of taxing, which is monitoring the traders level, which is the thing that started this discussion. Hunting and taxing is my job, and I'm good at it, I enjoy a good chase too. Sorry for the inconvenience I suppose. Its how the game is played. And if your not prepared for the unexpected, or to get taxed all together, I suggest you find a different way to make credits.
Cheers
No, it wasn't you. And I'm not saying he should have been following the level. Quite the opposite, really. I only intended to suggest that he may have been doing just that, which led to him initiating the attack. The main thing that bothered me was that he was attacking a Humpback in a Gunboat, and didn't even give me a chance to respond to his demand for money.
Personally--and this is part of the ideas I mentioned in my last post--I'm of the opinion that gunboats shouldn't be used to pirate anything other than transports. Transports have a better chance against them, simply because of their superior defensive abilities. Freighters have slim to no chance against them, because they have no real way of avoiding all those guns that will wipe out their hull in a few hits. There's no real sport in it, and it tends to leave the poor freighter pilot frustrated.
