Yeah but how many of those rumours were added in by disco?

I believe both rumors are vanilla and so form the core lore about the faction.
I know for a fact that the first rumor is vanilla and believe the second is as well.
The first quote is a copy/paste from the NPC discription of the GC on disco wiki.
This means that it's validity can be questioned as all things wiki can be.
A simple check from a vanilla info (freelancer wiki) states.

Like I said before I have not seen any information that leads to the GC wanting a democracy and believe that this would be an addon of disco.
My best guess is that any info on democracy was added by a previous player faction.
