"Well, it is a bit late for that, don't you think, mister let's-watch-..."
"While i appreciate your outspokenness, miss Sanada, please remember who you are talking to. I am humbly advising you to return to the propriety one can expect from an officer." said the admiral, cutting her in half as he was feeling the lady needed a good slap on her fingers, metaphorically speaking.

"Hm... My apologies."
"Besides, you can be certain concern was the reason making us watch the procedure, not your well known beauty."

Ishikawa was observing them both, mildly amused to see one of them using the tricks he came to recognize in order to cover her embarrassment.
"That said, you appear to be indeed heavily injured. Were you saying you allowed her to fly?" he asked, gazing at Ishikawa.

"Well... Not really. I rejected her request to return to active duty and ordered her to take some rest..."
"That sounds reasonable." nodded the admiral.
"... But she didn't listen. The Commander Sanada never listens anyway."
"Totally untrue. I listen all the time. But it isn't really my fault if you often say totally unrelevant things which are totally not true anyway."
"Right.." said Ishikawa after having meaningfully looked at Sakamoto.

"Well... I'm afraid you will have to listen this time, miss Sanada. Take a few days off and let your body heal. It's not like your duty won't await your return."

The woman nodded in a way that clearly showed she wasn't planning to do so in any way.
"Will i have to assign someone to guard you?" asked Sakamoto, frowning slightly.

"No..." She said after sighing.
"Fine. I will return home. I owe Amaya an explanation anyway."
"Very well. You are free to leave. Ishikawa-san, you will receive your orders via neural network. Sanada-san, rest well."
The admiral bowed casually, and observed them walking out. The woman was already annoying her companion.

"... classified. Can't talk about it."
"Very funny. Just because i didn't tell you about mine. Tell or i will..."

He had a poor smile. Unruly and oblivious youth; Yet fearless and audacious. He came to imagine them in two or three decades, when they would have had their share of losses and happiness...
"Sir, the liaison with the northern fleet is ready."
"Thank you."

Leaving his thoughts here, he followed the officer.
